Accelerated Reader

The Accelerated Reader (AR) program is a computerized motivational reading program that provides continuous reading assessment and accountability.  The staff of Winnfield Senior High School believes that students cannot be successful lifelong learners unless they are proficient in reading.

Students at Winnfield Senior High School are required to earn 25 AR points for each nine week grading period.  The AR points earned are counted as a grade in their first block class.

AR tests are taken in the library before school, after the first ten minutes of 1st Block, during club, during lunch shifts, or anytime with permission from the student's teacher and the librarian.
