Vision Mission Statement |
The mission of DODSON HIGH SCHOOL is to provide a high quality education that enables all students to become responsible and productive citizens. Dodson High SChool is located northwestern Winn Parish and serves the rural communities near Dodson, Louisiana. The school consists of Pre-Kindergarten through grade 12 and has a current enrollment of 340 students. Of this number 66.1 percent receive free or reduced lunches, 6.3 percent are minority students and 11.4 percent are students with disabilities. Teachers work tirelessly to meet the diverse needs of the student population. According to calculations by the State of Louisiana, the School Performance Score for 2011 was 100.8, and increase of six points. This score is derived from spring 2011 test scores, attendance rate and graduation rate. At the appropriate grades, students are encouraged to participate in the following clubs and athletic activites:
Through our efforts with RTI (Response to Intervention) the faculty and administration are expecting a substantial increase in our student performance for the 2011-2012 school year. |
